The Comprehensive Cancer Center Mainfranken welcomes applications for the

Physician Scientist Training Program in Translational Oncology.

The Comprehensive Cancer Center Mainfranken established in 2008 has obtained peer-reviewed funding from the German Cancer Aid to specifically strengthen training in translational oncology within a structured training and mentoring program.
 
We seek applications from individuals
- holding a degree as MD at mid-term level of their residency training, close to board certification or board certified in a speciality involved in the care of patients with oncological diseases
- holding a degree as MDPhD starting residency training program in a speciality involved in the care of patients with oncological diseases
- with a keen interest in translational oncology, preferably in the field of solid tumors
- with a strong interest in the pursuit of clinical studies
- with a commitment for a career in translational oncology
 
The CCC Physician Scientist Program provides an unparalleled experience designed to train physicians to be bilingual, to speak the languages of clinical medicine and basic science. Our trainees bring clinical observations to the laboratory for in-depth study and translate basic mechanisms of human pathology into improvements in the diagnosis, prognosis, innovative treatment and prevention of disease.
 
Applications from severely handicapped person with basically similar qualification will be given priority.
