The DZNE in Bonn is looking for a

Postdoctoral Researcher (f/m)

in the research area of transgenic mouse models/cell biology/microscopy/biochemistry.

The DZNE is a center of excellence within the Helmholtz Association that performs translational research on neurodegenerative diseases. The center includes eight high-performing sites in Bonn, Dresden, Göttingen, Magdeburg, Munich, Rostock/Greifswald, Tübingen and Witten.

The Mandelkow lab is interested in the functions of the neuronal cytoskeleton and its role in neurodegeneration e.g.

• role of tau proteins in neurons and relationship with Alzheimer's disease
• transgenic cell and mouse models of Alzheimer's disease
• neuronal signal transduction pathways
• axonal transport mechanisms

Prior experience with transgenic mouse models is of high priority, experience with molecular and cell biology is desirable.

Employment, payment and social benefits are determined by the Public Sector Collective Agreement (Tarifvertrag für den öffentlichen Dienst - TVöD). The job location is Bonn, Germany. Positions are available immediately, but starting dates are negotiable.
