The Department of Management & Economics currently comprises 12 faculty members in the areas of Strategy, International Management, Leadership, Organizational Theory and Behavior, Philosophy, and Social Business. It offers a vibrant and collaborative research environment. Core and adjunct members of the department come from internationally renowned schools (e.g., London School of Economics, University of St. Gallen) and publish in top journals in the management field (Academy of Management Review, Academy of Management Annals, Human Relations, Journal of International Business Studies, Journal of Management, Journal of Organizational Behavior, Strategic Management Journal, etc.). The members are active in the international academic community through their membership on editorial boards and active roles in the Academy of Management and other organizations. At EBS Business School, the Department of Management and Economics invites international applications for an Assistant Professorship f/m of Strategic Management (tenure track).
Conducting high-quality research in the field of Strategic Management (preferably in the areas of strategy process, business models, strategy execution, and organizational control research) as well as potential and ambition to publish in leading journals
Teaching and tutoring students at Bachelor´s and Master´s level
Collaborating with industrial partners
Taking over roles in university governance
Doctoral degree from an internationally known university or business school
A record of high quality research ideally evidenced by first publications in international refereed journals or conference proceedings
Ability to acquire external research grants and/or projects with industry partners
Teaching experience welcome
International mindset and excellent English writing and communication skills
