The University of Europe for Applied Sciences educates the designers and decisions-makers of tomorrow in the four faculties of Business, Psychology, Media, Sport and Design. It came into existence in 2017 after the merge of BTK University of Art & Design and BiTS University of Business Leadership. To strengthen the rectorate, we are looking for a new member based in Berlin Region, either immediately or by arrangement.

Chancellor (f/m/d)

In this position, as a full-time member of the Rectorate, you are in charge of the university administration and supervise the service staff of the University of Europe for Applied Sciences with the goal to improve customer satisfaction constantly. You are also responsible for the operational implementation of the university's strategic goals, managing all non-academic operational aspects of the university and affiliated institutions. You will coordinate the university administration and take all precautions for the proper, economic and smooth completion of the university tasks in your area. You will manage the budget and thus be responsible for the management of the university budget. The Chancellor is accountable for implementing the University‘s strategic plan and for providing effective leadership of the operational areas of the School. The wide-ranging role includes strategic planning, financial and risk management, and management of the University’s professional service teams with direct line management of three campus managers.

We are looking for a committed and communicative leader with several years of professional experience in an operational managerial position, preferably at a large customer oriented company or a scientific institution. The successful candidate will have good commercial skills and experience working in a fast-paced complex organisation along with extensive operational transformation experience. You are characterized by a distinct strategic and conceptual way of thinking, persuasiveness and communication skills.

The contract terms are subject to the current constitution of the University of Europe for Applied Sciences.
