Invite for Fellowship Proposals, Postdoctoral Research Fellowships in ICT, based in Ireland: EDGE MSCA COFUND

EDGE is a Marie Sklodowska-Curie COFUND Action, led by Trinity College Dublin on behalf of 10 Irish academic institutions of excellence. EDGE awards fellowships to high-calibre post-doctoral researchers, who will relocate to Ireland to join expert supervisors in in the ICT (networks, date and materials) field. In our 3rd call we will offer fellowships for 24-months duration.

EDGE Fellowships are for experienced researchers from any country, seeking a prestigious, career-building position in Ireland. EDGE aims to form a community of thought leaders in ICT, including developing skills to engage with industry - all the top 10 ICT companies are present here in Ireland.

Researchers who will hold a PhD on 31st January 2019, or at least 4 years of equivalent research experience can apply by submitting a research proposal before 1st November 2018, after reviewing the information on our website - http://www.edge-research.eu.

Three Fellowship Levels are available, with generous awards based on experience - see http://edge-research.eu/fellowships/remuneration/

All potential supervisors are affiliated with at least one of three Science Foundation Ireland (SFI) Research Centres: ADAPT, CONNECT and AMBER. The Fellowship will be hosted by the Supervisor's institute.

Eligibility criteria
For call 3, at the reference date (31st January 2019), applicants must not have resided or carried out their main activity (work, studies, etc.) in Ireland for more than 12 months in the previous 3 years.

On 31st January 2019, applicants must be in possession of a doctoral degree, or they should have at least 4 years of full-time equivalent research experience.

Selection process
Via an open call for research proposals aligned with the EDGE themes. The supervisor must be approached first to gain their support, and named on application. Selection will be through independent peer review followed by interview.
