The
Faculty of Agriculture at the University of Bonn invites applications for a
Full Professorship (W3)
„Agricultural Engineering and Robotics“
to be appointed at the earliest time possible.
The professorship will strengthen the cluster of excellence initiative PhenoRob
(
www.phenorob.de), especially the link between the existing competencies in
sensing, perception, and robotics and the application of those techniques in
crop science.
The professorship represents the above-mentioned field in research and
university-level teaching. We are seeking an individual who has achieved
international recognition in one of the following fields:
- Autonomous intelligent agricultural machinery
- Innovative technologies for tillage, seeding, crop management and harvesting
- Digital process control
Teaching activities are expected in agricultural engineering, sensors and
technology as well as robotics in the study programs of the Faculty of
Agriculture.
Acquisition of extramural funding and the coordination of research networks
are expected.
Candidates have to comply with the general prerequisites according to § 36
of the University law (Hochschulgesetz) of the federal state of North Rhine-
Westphalia.
