seeks to fill a position of a
Full Professor of Limnic Microbiology
(salary category W3)
We seek applicants who are internationally recognized and address at the
molecular level fundamental questions in the field of limnic microbiology.
We are particularly interested in researchers who have made important
conceptual advances across the fields of physiology, metabolism and microbial
interactions.
Successful candidates will expand the strengths of the Department of
Biology via integration into the current cooperative research programs
(e.g. SFB 969 "Chemical and Biological Principles of Cellular Proteostasis,
GRK 2272 "R3-Responses to biotic and abiotic changes, Resilience and
Reversibility of lake ecosystems", GSC 218 "Konstanz Research School
Chemical Biology, or IMPRS for Organismal Biology) or the interdisciplinary
Cluster of Excellence initiatives "ChemLife: Molecules in Functional Systems"
or "Collective Behaviour" (for details see:

Furthermore, candidates are expected to teach in the areas of microbiology
and limnology at bachelor and master level.
