Your activities:
- Participation in research in experimental aesthetics (analysis of statistical properties of artworks, music and/or literature; see Brachmann und Redies, 2017, Frontiers in Computational Neuroscience 11:102)
- Development of novel approaches for the calculation of statistical properties in aesthetic stimuli (e.g., in deep neural networks)
- Analysis of statistical properties in large datasets of images, music and /or literature
- Generation of stimuli for psychological experiments
- Publication of results in international journals.
- It will be possible to pursue a doctoral degree.
Your profile:
- M.Sc. in informatics or media science (e.g., computer vision, digital humanities etc.)
- Experience in the analysis of complex patterns and knowledge of deep neural networks would be advantageous.
- Good English proficiency
- Very good knowledge of programming, especially with Python and MatLab.
- Willingness to participate in experimental/computational aesthetics research in an international interdisciplinary team (informatics, psychology and neuroscience)
Salary: according to TV-L
Working hours: 40 hours/week
Start: January 1, 2019
