Reference Number 2021/317. The chair of “International Politics – Global Inequality” as part of the
Cluster of Excellence “The Politics of Inequality” invites applications for a postdoctoral position for a
duration of 36 months starting in April 2022. In principle this position can be divided into two part-time

Prof. Dr. Gabriele Spilker and her team at the Chair of “International Politics – Global Inequality” investigate both the determinants and the
consequences of global inequality, such as the effects of climate change on migration, protest and conflict as well as inequalities in perceiving
different forms of globalization processes. The work of the team mainly focuses on inequalities in the Global South.
PhD in political science or related
Interest and experience in research on
Advanced knowledge of quantitative
methods and/or survey and experimental
Ability to work constructively and
effectively as part of a research team
Excellent English writing and
Experience and/or willingness to
contribute to science communication
Participation in a cutting-edge research
The initial employment is at 100 %, salary
scale E 13 TV-L
