Professor in Computational Pharmacy
The Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences of the University of Basel invites
applications for a professorship in Computational Pharmacy. We are looking for a
distinguished scientist with an outstanding track-record in the field of computerbased
methods in pharmaceutical sciences. The position may be filled at the Assistant
(tenure-track), Associate or Full Professor level, depending on
qualification, and is anticipated to start in February 2019.
Your position
The professor will establish a successful research program focused on current
topics in Computational Pharmacy, including drug design, molecular modeling,
process simulation, or personalized pharmacy. The professor is also expected to
contribute to teaching at the graduate and undergraduate level, engage in collaborative
projects, and play an active role in acquiring extramural funding.
Your profile
Candidates are expected to have an outstanding research record in areas related
to computer-based methods in pharmaceutical sciences and strong communication
and collaboration skills. They have teaching experience to lead graduate
level courses (in English); the ability to participate in the teaching of Bachelor
students (in German) is anticipated for later stages of the tenure.
