invites applications for a
Tenure-Track Professorship for
Integrated Immunology (W2/Associate Professor)
at the Institute of Genetics at the Department of Biology. The professorship is to
be filled by 01.10.2018 for an initial period of five years. FAU off f ers the long-term
perspective of a permanent appointment to a W2 professorship if the requirements
of the tenure evaluation are met.
We seek to appoint an expert who will develop an internationally visible research
and teaching profile in basic or translational immunology. As the W2 professorship is
an integral part of the newly established Master’s degree programme in
Integrated
Immunology funded through the Elite Network of Bavaria, we expect the successful
candidate to play an active role in developing and running this Master’s degree programme.
Furthermore, the candidate is expected to make a positive contribution to
DFG-funded collaborative research programmes at the university focusing on immunology
and molecular biology, such as TRR 130, TRR 221, CRC 1181, RTG 1660,
and RTG 1962.
