The Institute of Mathematics at the Department for Mathematics and Natural
Sciences seeks applications for a
Professorship (W2) in
Analysis and its Applications
commencing as soon as possible.
We are looking for an internationally recognized excellent researcher whose
research focuses on a relevant area of analysis that is closely related to partial
differential equations and has visible references to one or more of the following
main areas of analysis in Oldenburg: nonlinear, geometric and singular analysis,
numerical mathematics, and modelling. These research areas should be complemented
by the professorship and strengthened with recognizable cooperation
potential. Further links to existing working groups of the institute and the university
are desirable. The applicant is expected to have experience in the acquisition
of grants. The successful applicant is able to teach courses in all programs offered
by the institute as well as service courses for other departments in both German
and English. As Oldenburg University and Bremen University are bound by a cooperation
agreement, active participation in the cooperation is expected. Preconditions
for employment are specified in § 25Niedersächsisches Hochschulgesetz.
