Institute for Numerical Simulation of the
Faculty of Mathematics and
Natural Sciences at the
University of Bonn, Germany invites applications
for a
W2-Professorship (tenured) in Scientific
Computing/Numerical Analysis
Successful candidates are expected to be internationally visible in an area of
numerical simulation complementing and strengthening the areas represented
by the existing research groups. The main research focus of applicants should
be numerics of partial differential equations.
The successful candidate will be offered a membership at the Hausdorff Center
for Mathematics. She/He is expected to actively participate in the acquisition of
further third-party research funding. The professorship comes with the standard
teaching load.
The general conditions of employment are according to § 36 of the Higher
Education Act of North Rhine-Westphalia (Hochschulgesetz des Landes
Nordrhein-Westfalen).
