Professorship (W3) for Pathophysiology of Nutritional Diseases

The Faculty of Health Sciences – a joint faculty of the University of Potsdam, the
Brandenburg Medical School Theodor Fontane and the Brandenburg University of
Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg – invites applications for the following position to be filled
as soon as possible:
Full (W3) Professorship for Pathophysiology
of Nutritional Diseases
The successful candidate should be internationally recognized by virtue of excellent research
in the area of the pathophysiology of nutritional diseases, and investigations of the molecular
mechanisms of the pathogenesis using a relevant disease model. The work is intended
to complement the current research focuses at the Institute for Nutritional Science at the
University of Potsdam and the cooperating German Institute of Human Nutrition, and enable
wide-ranging cooperation with other departments at these institutions. To facilitate close
cooperation with the departments located there, we plan to situate the professorship at the
university site in Rehbrücke.
The successful candidate must be able to teach in English and German in new degree
programs with a focus on Public Health, Exercise and Nutrition and be able to fully represent
the subject of pathophysiology in teaching.
