The School of Electrical Engineering, Computer Science and Mathematics is seeking applications from candidates for teaching and research at TUHH in the subject of Control Systems.
Applicants are expected to have an excellent track record in foundational research and practical implementation in this area, as well as experience in international
and national
research collaborations and acquiring third-party research grants. A strong interest in interdisciplinary work with other engineering sciences present at TUHH is mandatory.
We particularly welcome applications from candidates with a background in control methods for meshed and/or distributed systems, model predictive control, or deterministic and stochastic
systems control, as well as related implementations. Application scenarios might include but are not limited to:
- Distributed power systems
- Swarm robotics
- Digital twins and smart factories
- Cyber-physical systems
- Joint control and communications, in particular for wireless Internet of Things (IoT) networks.
The future Professor of Control Systems is expected to offer courses in the Electrical Engineering and the Process and Chemical Engineering programs, as well as related degree programs both at the
undergraduate and graduate level, and to engage in the further development of the curricula offered by TUHH. The ability to teach undergraduate
courses in German is expected.
The professorship is due to commence in the summer term 2023.
