W3 Professorship
„Urban Development and Land Use“
starting 2022 September 1
st.
The professorship is affiliated with the Institute of Geodesy and Geoinformation
(IGG). We seek an outstanding scientist with high-impact contributions
in sustainable land use, as well as to developing new methods and
mathematical modeling. These contributions should address the development
of urban spaces in response to climate change and demographic dynamics
as well as in view of possible impacts on peripheral and rural areas.
Applications are expected to draw links to existing research areas of the
University of Bonn, which include the acquisition of geospatial information
through geodetic measurements, its analysis and visualization, as well as
research on sustainability in a global, local and, in particular, agricultural
context. Success in the acquisition of third-party funding is a prerequisite. The
successful candidate will teach in B.Sc. and M.Sc. programs, especially in
programs on geodesy and geoinformation.
The conditions of employment are according to §36 Hochschulgesetz NRW.
