Endocrine Research Labs of the Medical Department IV/University of Munich offer a position as
Research assistant (postdoc) (m/f/d) in adrenal tumorigenesis and steroid excess
Scope of the group:
Applications are invited for a postdoc position at the Endocrine Research Labs on the transregional CRC/TRR 205 "The Adrenal: Central Relay in Health and Disease"
funded by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG). In a unique effort top level researchers and doctors of the University Hospitals of Munich, Dresden and Würzburg will
promote the understanding of humoral and molecular mechanisms of adrenal diseases and develop improved diagnostic and therapeutic approaches.
The postdoc will be joining a highly motivated team of researchers studying the pathogenesis of adrenal tumorigenesis and steroid excess.
Requirements:

Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree or equivalent and PhD in biochemistry, chemistry or a biological discipline
with essential knowledge of good clinical research

Molecular biology including qPCR, general protein biochemistry, epigenetics (microRNA),
immunohistochemistry, cell biology and functional assays (enzyme activity assays)

Preparation of publications and lectures

Demonstrated ability to synthesize results in graphic, oral and written reports including the
ability to clearly explain statistical techniques and interprete findings

Good communication skills and fluency in English

Open-minded and self-motivated character

Ability to work independently
