Research associate (m/f/d) with a focus on systems informatics in the field of battery research
as spart of the project “Process-oriented interface characterization of active materials for lithium-ion batteries with liquid and solid electrolytes (ProGrAL)” funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) at the Professorship for Physical Chemistry (Prof. Dr. Jürgen Janek), Institute for Physical Chemistry. The position is limited in time until 31.10.2023. The salary is in accordance with the collective labour agreement of the State of Hessen (E 13 TV-H).
Your tasks at a glance:
As part of the project team, you will develop and apply artificial intelligence routines. This will be used for a new concept for quality assurance in the manufacturing of batteries using surface-analytical methods. In detail, you will deal with the following aspects:
- Elaboration of a data storage concept for SIMS (Secondary Ion Mass Spectrometry) and XPS (X-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy) measurement data of battery samples
- Testing of existing and development of new algorithms for the systematic evaluation of SIMS and XPS data, if possible, based on the Kadi4Mat platform
- Implementation, evaluation, and optimization of the systematic data evaluation
- Publication ft he results in scientific journals
Your qualifications and competences:
- Graduation (MSc or diploma) with at least the grade „good“ from a university or a university of applied sciences in the field of systems informatics or a related topic or proof of a similar qualification acquired in other degree programs (e. g. engineering)
