We are seeking a team-orientated, highly motivated, dependable, and enthusiastic
The Main Duty in this position is to assure the timely generation of high-quality scientific documents, including abstracts, manuscripts, grant proposals, and press releases, and to assist with scientific report preparation.
Specifically, the responsibilities will include:
Elaborating scientific data and preparing figures for manuscripts, reports, posters and other presentations
Preparation of scientific documents, such as abstracts, manuscripts, grant proposals, press releases
Edit manuscript format for submission according to journal/publisher guidelines
Submission of manuscripts and abstracts
Handling correspondence for the manuscript until publication
Submission of abstracts for conference participations
Assist with the preparation of scientific news and scientific text for the website
Assist with the preparation of project reports - Check and (if required) revise documents with regard to language, content, completeness, consistency, and standards compliance
Search and digest defined scientific literature and professionally synthesize it in prose form or as a presentation
The position holder will work on site at our company seat in Münster (Germany), but some home office work will also be possible.
Knowledge (incl. qualifications) required
A relevant life science university degree, ideally M.D. or Pharm. D. or a Ph.D. in a relevant life science field
Extensive, publication-documented experience with manuscript preparation
Prior experience as medical/scientic writer in industry, academia, or both highly desirable
Background in skin/hair research and/or in immunology highly desirable
Ability to interpret and summarize scientific results in a clear and concise manner, attention to detail
Excellent organizational and time management ability
A 'can do' attitude with the ability to work according to tight timelines and to prioritize workload, whilst concentrating on delivery and adding value
Expert* MS Office application (Word, Powerpoint, Excel) skills
Excellent interpersonal skills, including motivational and conflict resolution
Native-level written and spoken English, German skills advantageous, nut not essential
