Tenure Track Assistant Professor

to begin as soon as possible. The position is a fixed-term (6 year) tenure-track professorship with the possibility for promotion to a tenured associate/full professorship.
As a rule, the holder of this professorship will not be employed as a civil servant (Beamte) under German law.
Scientific Environment
The professorship belongs to the TUM Department of Informatics and in the future to the TUM School of Computation, Information & Technology.
Responsibilities
The responsibilities include research and teaching as well as the promotion of early-career scientists. We seek to appoint an expert in the research area of Software Engineering for
data-intensive Application with a focus on Software 2.0, Engineering, integration and lifecycle management of artifacts in data-intensive applications. Teaching responsibilities include
courses in the university’s bachelor and master programs. The professorship will be embedded into the internationally renowned research center for software-intensive systems, with a focus
on applied research (
www.fortiss.org).
Qualifications
We are looking for candidates who have demonstrated initial scientific achievements and the capacity for independent research at the highest international level. A university degree and
an outstanding doctoral degree or equivalent scientific qualification, as well as pedagogical aptitude, are prerequisites. Substantial research experience abroad is expected (please see
