Technical University of Munich (TUM) is the first university in
Germany to reinforce its recruitment policy by a comprehensive
tenure track system. Based on best international standards and
transparent performance criteria, TUM FACULTY TENURE TRACK
offers merit-based academic career options for high-potential
early-career scientists, from the appointment as Assistant Professor
through a permanent position as Associate Professor and on to
Full Professor.
TUM invites applications for
13 Tenure Track Assistant Professorships
to begin as soon as possible. Assistant Professorship is a W2
fixed-term position (6 years) with tenure track option to a tenured
W3 position (Associate Professorship). The professorships listed
above are intended to strengthen the existing focus areas at TUM
(printed in bold; potential host department of each professorship
bracketed). The professorship is funded by the Federal Tenure
Track Programme.
