at the Department of Food Chemistry and Toxicology

The institute of Food Chemistry and Toxicology is searching for a motivated scientist. This postdoctoral position in the field of bioanalytical chemistry or bioinformatics is dedicated to the development of innovative mass spectrometry-based workflows and data evaluation tools. The developed methods will be applied to address pressing research questions at the edge of environmental/food contaminants and human health.
Duration of employment: 4 year/s
Extent of Employment: 40.0 hours/week
Job grading in accordance with collective bargaining agreement: §48 VwGr. B1 lit. b (postdoc) with relevant work experience determining the assignment to a particular salary grade.
Job Description:
The postdoc will work in the framework of a large-scale EU project and is expected to collaborate with European partners. Besides research,
this position includes teaching according to the collective agreement as well as supervision of students.
The working group 'Global Exposomics and Biomonitoring' consists of a motivated and interdisciplinary team acting in a strong national and international network. We want to better understand the impact of food- and environment-related toxicants on human health and use innovative mass spectrometric methods to investigate exposure, metabolism, and toxicity.
Salary ~4.061,50 Euro (14x per annum before tax) plus health insurance and benefits.

Profile:
PhD degree and solid chemical education (or similar) and experience in scientific publishing are required. However, also researchers with a strong background in bioinformatics are encouraged to apply.
