The Job
With your excellent English skills you will be helping our customers via email. The topics will range from explanations on how to install an app on iOS or macOS to putting on your detective hat to figure out why a problem is occurring.
You don't need to study anything IT related-we are more interested in your excellent language skills, your customer orientation, and your ability to explain even complex issues clearly and patiently.
If you are already using Things, that's great! If not, that's perfectly fine, we just expect that you are interested in the topic of productivity. We also aren't looking for a short-term engagement - we want to work with you for a longer period of time.
What you're brining to the table
- Experience with Mac, iPad and iPhone. This means that you are ideally currently use both a Mac and either an iPhone or an iPad on a daily basis
- Very good written English skills
- Basic technical understanding and ability to clearly express complex ideas
- Honest interest in helping others
- The ability to reliably work on your own
What we're offering
- Remote work - you can work from wherever you like
- Good salary with 12?/h
Working hours
You must be available consistently for at least 10hrs/week. If you can work more hours, that's great!
We want our users to have a great support experience. To that end, we want one support agent to handle a case from first contact until resolution. That means that you should be able to reply to our users and react to follow-ups in a timely manner-no one likes to wait forever or to have to go through the same stuff with different agents.
When you start, a lot of time will be spent on giving you feedback and helping you get up to speed. That means we need you to be available every day of the week for a few hours (for example 2hrs each day of the week, but we are open to discuss different options with you to accommodate your college schedule). Once you have gained enough experience to work on your own, you can structure your hours more flexibly, but we still require that users are replied to within 24hrs (at most 48hrs).
Work place
If you are not from Stuttgart or Dresden we'll train and supervise you remotely via Skype/Facetime.
Application
You think this is the job for you? Then we're looking forward to hearing from you in English.
As part of the application process we'll expect you to answer some sample questions that we face every day in support. The information to answer those questions are available on our website. Your replies will help us to evaluate your language and communication skills as well as your understanding of technical matters.
Looking forward to hearing from you!
