The Faculty of Arts at the University of Bonn seeks to fill a Chair in
Christian Archaeology
(W 2 Foundation-Professorship)
financed by the Gielen-Leyendecker-Stiftung and the
Faculty of Arts for the period of five years
as of 1
st September, 2020.
The Faculty of Arts is looking for candidates who are able to represent the
subject in research and teaching in its entirety. Candidates are expected to
contribute to teaching the courses of studies of the Department of Archaeology
and Cultural Anthropology and to continue the intense cooperation with neighboring
institutions, especially with the LVR-LandesMuseum and the Franz
Jospeh Dölger-Institut. The Faculty also wants candidates to be committed to
transdisciplinary initiatives and research centers in the Faculty of Arts.
Candidates are expected to teach in German.
A subject-specific relevant dissertation as well as a habilitation or the equivalent
thereof are necessary prerequisites for any application. The conditions of
employment are according to § 36 Hochschulgesetz NRW.
