Professorship (W2) Business Administration, with emphasis on Strategic Management and Leadership
An appointment to a professorship is to be made at ESB Business School in
the winter semester 2018/2019 or later:
Business Administration, with emphasis on Strategic Management
and Leadership (Reference number 101/2017)
The appointed professor will be responsible for teaching especially in the fields
of Strategic Management and Leadership in English speaking undergraduate
and graduate (incl. MBA) programs at ESB Business School. Willingness and
ability to teach courses in one or more adjacent topic areas, such as business
process management, organizational behavior, or change management, are
expected. The appointed professor is supposed to conduct practice-oriented
research leading to peer-reviewed journal publications.
Given the deliberately broad scope of the fields of teaching and research,
extensive practical experience in business administration is expected.
International experience is an advantage.
The willingness and proficiency of teaching in English are prerequisites.
Aptitude and readiness to take on tasks in the university‘s self-administration
In general, candidates must also demonstrate:
Successful completion of appropriate university studies
Special competence in academic work, typically evidenced by a doctoral
degree and scholarly publications
A minimum of five years of professional experience after completion of
studies, at least three years of which must be outside of a university
Reutlingen University emphasizes topics such as Digital Transformation,
Innovation and Entrepreneurship. Experience (practical or scholarly) in these
areas is advantageous.
