The Department of Statistics and Operations Research at the University of Vienna invites applications for the position at the assistant professor level ("University Assistant post doc") in the area of Financial Econometrics/Statistics.

Job grading in accordance with collective bargaining agreement: §48 VwGr. B1 lit. b (postdoc) with relevant work experience determining the assignment to a particular salary grade.
Job Description:
The successful post-doctoral candidate is expected to develop a research record, which enables her*him to apply for a (tenured) position of Professor of Financial Econometrics/Statistics. She*he is expected to conduct independent research and teach courses (up to 4 hours) at the Department of Statistics and Operations Research. Knowledge of German is an asset, but not required. The contract is for 6 years. Salary in accordance with collective bargaining agreement: §48 VwGr. B1 lit. b (postdoc).
